A way to make successful tissue paper pattern pieces flat and storable without tracing them again or having to glue things (also, a good use for gummed paper packing tape, my new favorite thing):

Tissue paper is flimsy!

Paper packing tape to the rescue!

Flatten out the wrinkles and edges

Flatten out the wrinkles and edges.

Cut a strip of tape and wet it (doesn’t take much moisture– don’t overdo it)

Not too wet!

Place tissue pattern on tape and press down.

Continue until it’s all covered.

Cut around the tissue paper

Voila. Flatten it out and store it for next time.
